One Step Forward provides Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) program which is designed to improve family functioning by stabilizing living arrangements, promoting reunification when clinically proven appropriate and/or preventing the use of out of home therapeutic resources. Our services provide assessments and diagnosis and individual counseling, psychological assessment and family counseling.
The mission of one step forward is to build sustainable communities by working with families and adolescent to assist them in achieving their goals. This is accomplished through the provision of a variety of comprehensive programs vital to shaping and nurturing communities. These programs promote healthy development of children. We provide high quality care in the home, school, and community from licensed, skilled, experienced, and professional staff and will assist with reduction of home placement and reuniting families.

Who is Eligible for Services?
Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) assists youths ages 3 to 17 years of age. Included among this group are those youth at risk for significant developmental delays, irregular development, substance abuse, or serious emotional disturbance (SED) that could result in an inability to live successfully in the community without services.
